want to read... The 4 books I got in the mail last week....
tv show worth watching... Hmmm... the only 'show' I've been watching lately is NBA basketball. Which btw, the OKC Thunder did amazing!! Not bad considering they are all younger than I am.... now I have to cheer for the Mavericks (even though they beat us) because Dirk is a machine!
movie I've seen... My bf and I went to see The Hangover 2 last Friday.... hilarious! I kind of knew what to expect so it wasn't quite as funny as the first but I definitely laughed throughout the whole movie... and Bradley Cooper is dreamy!
in my ears... I've been listening to the Pretty Black Chains a lot lately, so seeing them live at their CD release party (and getting a free CD!!!) was amazing! This is my favorite song of theirs....
items of note... My garden is growing!!!!! Check it out :)
my ivy!!!!! <3 it! |
my bulbs grew! |
no clue what that little tree thing is but I love it! |
blackberry bush/vine (whatever, it's huge!) |
little blackberries.... not too much longer :) |
pepper plants |
tomato plants |
my pretty spreading flowers |
what I'm looking forward to... My bf is putting together a basketball goal as I type (in our dining room.... the mosquitoes are CRAZY out there!) and I haven't played basketball in forever! I mean, who says short girls can't shoot hoops? :)
I also posted a few new small paintings on etsy yesterday and I am looking forward to adding a few more.
I have a photo-taking date this Sunday with my lovely friend, Carin (also a fellow vegetarian) and my amazing friend Amber (who is graciously letting us use her fancy schmancy camera). Carin majored in photography (and now is going to be a veterinarian) so is going to use her awesome skills and take pictures of all of my paintings so I can see about making some prints (thank Laurie for the idea!)
Maybe most of all I'm looking forward to finding out what this month has in store for me... I feel like I learn something new about myself every single day and each sunrise is a sign of a new creative journey.
Day 15 - A picture of something you want to do before you die
I want to build an 'off the grid' home/ art studio with solar panels, a garden, candlelight, peace & quiet.
ooo, when you get around to building that awesome house/studio please let me know!
ReplyDeletealso, i can't wait to see the hangover 2...bradley cooper = hottt
your blog is amazing, just so you know!
I love the update! I'm so jealous of everyones gardens - I'm going to have one next year. This year was out of the question with the kids. Next year they can work it, LOL!
ReplyDeleteLove the violets!
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you're enjoying "Fallen" and "Torment"! I haven't read "Torment", but I liked "Fallen". Great plot, no? :)
And an off-the-grid house sounds awe-some! I agree with Maya, let me know when it happens! I'd love to visit it LOL ;)
Ahhh, your posts are so refreshing lately! I think watching others on a personal journey of amazing growth is just as awe inspiring as making my own way along. I'm so glad you have more paintings in your shop and that you're moving ahead with new ideas. Keep that creativity flowing, it's a direct connection to Spirit! :) Peace and quiet. The two things I strive for most in each and every day. :)
ReplyDeleteMaya... thanks! trust me... whenever I get close to building that off-grid home everyone will know because I won't be able to stop talking about it :)
ReplyDeleteCourtney... I wouldn't have time to garden if I had twins either! But I'm looking forward to the pictures of your cutie pies gardening next year :)
Taylor Lynn... You need to read Torment! My friend Shasta said it's waay better than Fallen! And of course you can visit!
Melinda... Aw, thank you! I feel refreshed :) seeing/reading about others being inspired definitely inspires me! I have found my peace and quiet in 'becoming' all the noises around my house : very wise advice I received from a very wise woman :)
