|isn't she cute?|
I'm pretty sleepy today... I spent my day yesterday writing a research paper then wandering the aisles of Michael's and Half Price Books. I wrapped up my day by sitting at the bar at Hooters where my lovely Shasta is a bartender. As usual, I let her talk me into staying much longer than I had planned and I'm paying for it this morning... but it's so fun hanging out with her, so it was worth it!
Today I get to find out how I did on my math exam! My fingers are crossed....
To continue right along with celebrating National Poetry Month, here's a little poem by Emily Dickinson that I love... hopefully you will too :)
Hope is the thing with feathers
That perches in the soul,
And sings the tune without the words,
And never stops at all.
And sweetest in the gale is heard;
And sore must be the storm
That could abash the little bird
That kept so many warm.
I've heard it in the chillest land,
And n the strangest sea;
Yet, never, in extremity,It asked a crumb of me.
